Dr. Jason Chan is the Head of IT, PolyU CPCE. With his diversified academic background, he also teaches undergraduate programmes in strategy, management, leadership, e-governance and research methodology. Prior to joining PolyU, Jason was the Manager (Research) of Bauhinia Foundation Research Centre in 2006-2007.
Dr. Chan has also been the Associate Vice-President (Educational Technology) of UNESCO Hong Kong Association, the President (Education) of Young Professionals Alliance (YPA), the Vice-President of Hong Kong Public Administration Association (HKPAA), the Convenor of IT Taskforce of Federation of Self-financing Tertiary Education (FSTE), the Deputy Chief Campaigner of Roundtable, the Assessor for The Hong Kong Awards for Industries: Technological Achievement 2013, 2014 & 2015, etc. He was the Chairman of Hong Kong Mensa (2012-2014).
His public services include being the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal Panel Member of Judiciary Hong Kong, the Member of Advisory Committee for Education Development Fund of Education Bureau, Member of Transport Tribunals' Panel of Transport and Housing Bureau, and the Non-Panel Reviewer of Public Policy Research Funding Scheme of Central Policy Unit.
Dr. Chan has also shared his expertise in different events such as CEO Successor, UNESCO's U8 exchange programme, Outstanding IT Teacher Award Ceremony, Expected Innovative Education Revolution Seminar, Lion Club, IT Workshop of FSTE, and so on.
His professional affiliations include membership of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (MIEEE).
