In the 2018/19 academic year, there are 13,901 full-time and part-time students registered on sub-degree and top-up honours degree programmes leading to PolyU-HKCC, PolyU or PolyU-SPEED awards.
CPCE places paramount importance on the teaching of students and creating a congenial environment to facilitate students’ quest for knowledge. Students are also provided with plenty of opportunities to take an active role in every facet of collegiate life. This whole-person development approach helps students to become competent professionals who are critical thinkers, effective communicators, innovative problem solvers and socially responsible global citizens.
Student representatives sit on the College Board and a number of committees to ensure that students’ voices are heard and that they remain well-informed about CPCE’s major developments.
Student Recognition and Awards
Scholarships and prizes are awarded to students in recognition of their outstanding academic and non-academic achievements.
The Dean’s List is published for Semesters One and Two with the aim of motivating students to excel in their studies, and recognising outstanding students who have set an example for their fellow classmates.
Students successfully earning a place on the Dean’s List receive a Certificate of Honour. Students on the Dean’s List for the first time during their studies at the Unit concerned will also receive a cash award.
