Electric Vehicles and Electrical Engineering Laboratory

The Electric Vehicles and Electrical Engineering Laboratory supports teaching and research activities in electrical and electronic engineering, including electric machines, power systems, protection systems, low voltage, and microelectronic circuits. The Laboratory aims to promote advancements in smart electricity conversion and utilisation, with a particular emphasis on problems of practical interest to electrical engineers. 

The Laboratory provides cutting-edge facilities and setup for experiments and projects, including:

  • Four-quadrant AC/DC power supply
  • High-voltage DC power supply
  • Variable speed drives
  • Synchronous/induction/ DC machines
  • Rotational torque transducers
  • Digital directional relay
  • Thermal imaging camera

  • Digital storage oscilloscopes
