After graduating from Associate in English for Business Communication* in 2013, Long-tin decided to embark on a totally different field of study—marketing—at Hong Kong Baptist University.
"Some of my classmates might wonder why the English for Business Communication* (now English for Professional Communication) programme seemed to emphasise English but I was able to pursue degree studies in marketing. The fact was that the programme did equip me with the fundamental knowledge of marketing. I was even lucky enough to undergo my internship in a social enterprise."
Long-tin performed well in his studies at Hong Kong Baptist University, receiving the "1st in Course of Integrated Marketing Communications" award. He said although marketing and English are two different disciplines, both of them attach much importance to communication. "I am sure those who choose the English for Professional Communication programme can articulate to marketing or other business degree programmes."
