The Associate in Public Relations and Communication programme allowed me to understand the public relations and mass communication industries firsthand. Covering a wide range of knowledge including business and corporate communication, this programme helped me learn more about the duties of a PR officer and journalist; it also gave me an overview of the two industries.
HKCC provided a lot of learning opportunities for me. Inside the classroom, I acquired professional knowledge in different areas such as public relations writing, corporate communication, and crisis management skills. Outside the classroom, I participated in company visits and study tours. For example, I visited Bloomberg Television to understand its staff's daily routine; I also joined a 12-day tour to Japan and exchanged views with local students. This programme's broad curriculum offers students ample development opportunities and equips them with professional knowledge of communication, which greatly facilitate their future academic pursuits and career development.
