The CPCE Student Affairs Office successfully launched the English Ambassador Scheme 2024/25, which runs from September 2024 to June 2025. At the Opening Ceremony cum Training 1 held on 16 October 2024, 30 English Ambassadors (EAs) were appointed and began their mission to promote English on campus.
The EAs are required to attend two training sessions led by Dr Emily Lui and Ms Joyce Cheng, Lecturers from the Division of Languages and Communication of PolyU CPCE. Training 1 focused on fostering connections and improving spoken English, while Training 2, held in November 2024, honed their public speaking skills through facilitating nine “Further Study and Job Interview Skills Training Workshops” for fellow students.
In addition, the EAs conducted the English Research Survey 2024/25 at the end of both semesters, collecting data to address the English learning needs of degree and sub-degree students. The survey remains open until May 2025, and students can participate by scanning a QR Code to share their views and enter a chance to win cash coupons.
