The Division of Languages and Communication of PolyU CPCE and the CPCE Student Affairs Office organised the Native English Teacher (NET) Speaking Corner on 23 October 2024 and 20 March 2025, offering students a valuable opportunity to improve their English speaking abilities.
The event was led by Mr Charles Griffith, a NET and part-time Visiting Lecturer at PolyU’s English Language Centre, who guided students in refining their communication and presentation skills through informal conversations. Mr Griffith also offered individualised feedback, helping the participants gain confidence and improve their fluency in a relaxed learning environment. The students embraced the opportunity to engage with a native English speaker, describing the experience as both enjoyable and beneficial.
