Five Academic Members Receive CPCE Research-Scholarly Performance Awards

The College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE) believes that the continuous research efforts and talent of our academic members are priceless assets.  Outstanding academic members are presented with the CPCE Research-Scholarly Performance Awards for their research excellence biennially.  The CPCE Research-Scholarly Performance Awards are created to motivate academic members to excel in their research performance and giving recognition to those with significant research and scholarly achievements and to galvanise the award recipients’ institutional commitment, dedication and hard work in building up the momentum of research excellence.  It represent a promise of CPCE to reach new heights of commitment to pursue research excellence. 

CPCE is pleased to announce the two recipients of the CPCE Dean’s Awards for Outstanding Research-Scholarly Performance and the three recipients of the CPCE Awards for Outstanding Research-Scholarly Performance 2021/22 selected from the four Academic Divisions of the College.

The CPCE Research-Scholarly Performance Awards Presentation Ceremony for 2021/22 was held on 17 March 2023 on PolyU Hung Hom Bay Campus, kicking off with an opening speech delivered by Prof C W Leung, Chairman of Research Committee, Professor and Associate Dean (Research) of CPCE.

Prof C W Leung extended his congratulations and gratitude to the award recipients.  He said this was the fruit of the concerted efforts of our institution and research teammates over the years.  Numerous research successes achieved by our academic members in recent years have boosted the institution’s reputation in the self-financing higher education sector. “CPCE will create opportunities for academic members to excel and to advance their knowledge through high-impact discoveries and technologies.  I heartily wish this momentum can encourage a bigger group of academic members to emulate and share our pride, so as to shift our research power to community and humankind in the near future.” 

Biennial awards were subsequently presented to the five outstanding scholars in recognition of their valuable research outputs that have contributed to the development of research and scholarly activities of the College and the academia as a whole.
