Overview of Student Barometer 2020 Results

CPCE participated in the Student Barometer (SB) exercise for the sixth year in a row, and its performance was on par with the global and Asian benchmarks in various aspects of students’ experience.
The SB exercise, conducted by the independent research company “i-graduate”, is a global survey1 of students’ experience in the areas of arrival, learning, living and support. In 2020, CPCE received an overall local student satisfaction rate2 of 83.6%, which was gauged by “i-graduate” as “high” and comparable with the global benchmark of 83.2% and the Asian benchmark of 85.7%.
Among the local students of the participating institutions, the survey revealed that:
- In learning elements, CPCE attained a high average student satisfaction rate3 of 86.1%, which was on par with the global benchmark of 85.8% and the Asian benchmark of 87.1%. Of the 37 individual learning elements, CPCE outperformed both the global and Asian benchmarks in 16 of them. Besides, CPCE attained a satisfaction rate of 90% or higher in 13 elements.
- With respect to “Careers Advisory Service”, CPCE received a student satisfaction rate of 97.5%, which was much higher than the global benchmark of 91.9% and the Asian benchmark of 94.3%.
