The Subject Team of “Hotel Planning and Development” and the Research Centre for Green Business (RCGB) of PolyU SPEED jointly organised a visit to The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong for over 40 students from various business-related degree and sub-degree programmes on 12 October 2024.
The visit aimed to explore sustainable practices in the industry, highlighting the hotel’s commitment to sustainability. Initiatives showcased included the elimination of single-use plastics, reduction of water and energy consumption, and adherence to WELL building standards. The students gained practical knowledge of sustainable operations and experienced firsthand service at the hotel’s Lighthouse Café, enhancing their understanding of environmental responsibility in hospitality management.
