Established as a self-financing college of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), CPCE is currently one of the largest self-financing providers of full-time tertiary education in Hong Kong.
CPCE oversees the operations of two self-financing educational units: Hong Kong Community College (HKCC) and School of Professional Education and Executive Development (SPEED). These two units offer a variety of sub-degree and top-up undergraduate programmes, providing quality tertiary education opportunities for over 12,000 full-time students. A variety of continuing education courses are also offered to cater to the different needs of lifelong learners.
CPCE offers a flexible “2+2” articulation pathway to secondary school leavers. Students completing HKCC’s 2-year Associate Degree or Higher Diploma programmes have the opportunity to articulate to SPEED's 2-year articulation honours degree programmes and earn a degree awarded by PolyU.
PolyU’s academic quality assurance policies and procedures are adopted at CPCE in areas including programme planning, development and management, to ensure that the learning and teaching activities for our students are of the highest quality. Graduates of HKCC and SPEED are conferred with PolyU-HKCC and PolyU-SPEED awards, respectively.
