Academic Gowns

Graduates attending the graduation ceremony are required to wear the academic gowns specific to their particular awards. To ensure that graduates use the correct sets of gowns, academic gowns are available for hiring from the vendor of CPCE i.e. Victoria Uniform.

Graduates are responsible for arranging their own academic gowns prior to the graduation ceremony.   Only graduates wearing the correct academic gowns will be presented on stage and arranged to join the group photo session, if any.  No gowns will be provided on site.

• Booking of academic gown should be made with the official gown hiring company, i.e. Victoria Uniform.
• The first hiring period is 49 days counting from the date of gown collection. If the gown is returned before the end of the 49-day period, the rental fee will not be refunded on a pro-rata basis.
• Gown collection and return must be done at the same outlet.  Presentation of the "Confirmation Email" with the QR code to the outlet staff will be required.
• Change of size or color is not allowed for all rental items once collected.
• All return items should be in the same condition as they were rented. Deposit is refundable when the hired items are returned in proper condition and on or before the due date.
• The gowns are also available for purchase at the outlets of the vendor.

 3. Fees (HK$)

Payment arrangement:

• Pay the deposit in CASH.  The amount of the deposit is the same as the price for purchasing the gown set, which varies for different levels of awards.
• Pay the rental fee in cash or digital payment including WeChat Pay, Alipay or PayMe.
• The deposit will be refunded on the spot upon return of the gown and related items at the Victoria Uniform outlet.  All terms and conditions for gown rental are subject to the policies of Victoria Uniform.

Notes:

• For the extension fee, any extension period of less than 7 days will be charged as a full 7-day period. The extension fee will be deducted from the deposit, and will not exceed the total deposit amount.
• In the event that the rental items are returned late, the extension fee will be deducted from the deposit.
• The deposit paid by graduates will be forfeited by Victoria Uniform if the rental items are not returned or are returned damaged. For further details, please refer to the terms and conditions of the rental agreement.
• In case of any disputes, the decision of Victoria Uniform shall be final.

2. You are strictly required to collect the gowns at the outlet you have selected.  The vendor will NOT rent the gowns to you if you go to any other outlets.
3. Queuing time for gown collection is typically much longer on weekday evenings.  To ensure a smoother and faster collection process, you are strongly advised to visit the Victoria Uniform outlets on Sundays.
