Congratulations to Dr Estella Zhao, Senior Lecturer of the Division of Languages and Communication of PolyU CPCE, who recently received two awards in recognition of her outstanding literary works.
Her short fiction “It's Not Easy Being a Sister” stood out from over 1,000 works and won the Grand Prize (Fiction Category) in the 2024 Oriental Youth Annual Key Works Support Programme with the highest score. She was also honoured with the Silver Award (Fairy Tale Category) in the “Love Cup” Outstanding Works Collection Activity for Chinese Original Children’s Literature with “Grandpa Turtle Kicked Away the Little Pebble”.
Dr Zhao teaches Chinese Language and Literature at PolyU HKCC, with research interests including modern Chinese literature, Chinese women's literature, and Chinese films.
