PolyU CPCE successfully hosted the Spring Carnival – Your Journey, Our Guidance on 22 and 23 January 2026 at the PolyU West Kowloon Campus. Combining games, traditional snacks, and cultural experiences, the event attracted a large number of students and staff, bringing festive cheer to the campus ahead of the Lunar New Year.
The carnival was officially launched by PolyU CPCE senior management, including Prof. Peter Yuen, Dean, Dr Jason Chan, MH, JP, Associate Dean (Information and Development) and Director of PolyU SPEED, Dr Helen Wong, Division Head of the Division of Business and Hospitality Management, Dr Esther Tong, Division Head of the Division of Languages and Communication, Dr Anthony Loh, Division Head of the Division of Science, Engineering, and Health Studies, Prof. Roger Chan, Division Head of the Division of Social Sciences, Humanities and Design, Dr Joseph Lau, Head of Student Affairs, and Dr Macy Wong, Head of Employability Services.
Four interactive games — Wind Powered Lucky Draw Box, Catch Me If You Can, Basketball Machine, and Claw Machine — challenged participants’ strength, reflexes, and coordination, while offering attractive prizes.
To celebrate the upcoming Lunar New Year, masters prepared dragon’s beard candy and sugar paintings on site, alongside sugar coated haws, maltose biscuits, glutinous rice dumplings, and sugar cane pancakes. These festive treats created a sweet and joyful atmosphere on campus.
The Division of Languages and Communication hosted a Fai Chun Workshop, where participants created auspicious calligraphy to welcome the Year of the Horse.
The ever popular instant Photo Booth returned, offering a variety of frames for solo and group shots. Students and staff captured wonderful moments together, leaving behind lasting memories of the Carnival.
