The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Hong Kong infused Central with vibrant energy on 25 January 2026 during its ACCA Community Day at the Chater Road Pedestrian Precinct. Under the theme “Run Ahead for an inclusive community and sustainable value”, the event brought together participants from accounting firms, multinational corporations, local organisations, and educational institutions in a collective effort to raise funds for local charities.
The day’s highlight was the traditional Rickshaw Race, featuring 18 teams vying for the Champion title and 11 teams competing for the ACCA Chairman Tertiary Cup. Among the contenders were students from PolyU HKCC’s Associate in Business (Accounting) programme and PolyU SPEED’s BBA (Hons) in Accountancy programme. Demonstrating outstanding teamwork and spirit, the PolyU HKCC team proudly secured the 1st Runner-up position in the ACCA Chairman Tertiary Cup competition.
