On 15 February 2025, the Centre for Ageing and Healthcare Management Research (CAHMR) and the Division of Science, Engineering and Health Studies (SEHS) of PolyU CPCE hosted an insightful Health Services Management Seminar themed “Primary Healthcare and Screening”.
The esteemed speakers included Prof. Martin Wong from The Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care at The Chinese University of Hong Kong; Dr Carl Wong, a private family physician; and Dr David Lam, Legislative Council member representing the Medical and Health Services sector. Dr Fiona Chen, Senior Lecturer at SEHS and a moderator of the event. The participants discussed current challenges in primary healthcare and how screening can enhance the overall effectiveness of healthcare services.
This seminar highlights the commitment of CAHMR, under the leadership of Dr Ben Fong, Director of CAHMR and Associate Division Head of SEHS, to leverage our faculty members’ expertise to advance knowledge and research in healthcare, health services management and related public policy, with the ultimate goal of fostering a healthier society.
