Cinema Series: The Impact of Technology on Film Production – Cinematic Journey with Director

⁠On 18 October 2024, Mr Francis Ko, Hong Kong's renowned cinematographer and director, visited PolyU CPCE to interact with nearly 20 students from the Division of Languages and Communication for enhancing their understanding on film production.

In the seminar, Mr Ko introduced the impact of photography on the internal narrative and elements of films and analysed the role and presentation of technology in films & television, advertising and short videos. Mr Ko has ample experience in film industry and received a number of local and international awards. His cinematography masterpiece "Wild City" was directed by Mr Ringo Lam, Best Director at the Hong Kong Film Awards.
