2022-06-07
CPCE signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) and the Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers TechEd Centre (HKFEW TechEd Centre) on 7 June 2022 to explore collaborative initiatives on promoting local TechEd and nurturing more tech talents to embrace the emerging trend of the digital market.
The MoU was signed by Dr Jason Chan, MH, JP, Assistant Dean (Innovation and Entrepreneurship) of CPCE, Dr Lawrence Cheung, Chief Innovation Officer of HKPC, and Mr Simon Chan, Director of HKFEW TechEd Centre.
Dr Chan says that the College is now studying the STEM education frameworks in Finland, Israel and the United States, with the aim of formulating a localised framework.
CPCE will launch a “Survey on TechEd in Hong Kong Academia 2022” in August this year with the HKPC and HKFEW TechEd Centre, inviting principals and teachers of primary and secondary schools and parents in Hong Kong to discuss the current situation and challenges of TechEd in Hong Kong so as to analyse its effectiveness and development potential. Seasoned practitioners and organisations from the education sector will also be invited to attend focus groups to provide more suggestions on promoting TechEd in Hong Kong.

CPCE, HKPC and HKFEW TechEd Centre jointly promote the development of TechEd.
