In recognition of his exceptional leadership and profound contributions to the global IT community, Dr Jason Chan, MH, JP, Director of PolyU SPEED, Associate Dean (Information and Development), and Head of Information Technology of PolyU CPCE, has been honoured with the prestigious "CIO GBA Legend" award.

The honour was conferred by CIO-Wisdom at the Hong Kong CIO Summit & Solution Day 2026 on 22 April 2026 at the Regent Hong Kong. The summit, centred on the theme "Digital Sovereignty & the Future of Global Tech Ecosystems", gathered over 200 IT leaders to explore pivotal topics including US-China tech relations and talent strategy in the Greater Bay Area.

This latest accolade adds to Dr Chan's growing list of honours. In November 2025, he was also recognised as “NEXT CIO Highly Commended” at the prestigious CIO100 and CSO30 ASEAN and Hong Kong Awards Gala in Singapore.
