Drama Appreciation: “Little Shop of Horrors”

Five PolyU HKCC Associate in English for Professional Communication students joined a subject-related activity at Kwai Tsing Theatre on 27 October 2024. 

The students, enrolled in the subject “Introduction to Literature in English”, were there to watch Chung Ying Theatre Company’s adaption of the Broadway musical “Little Shop of Horrors”. The play, which explores love, greed and desire, uses a clever mix of art and technology to engage the audience with its dark and humorous tale. Seeing a stage performance first-hand could help students develop a strong sense of appreciation for drama, one of the many genres of literary works.
