On 3 October 2024, students taking the subject "Cultural and Heritage Tourism" explored the adaptive reuse of the Central Market, one of Hong Kong's most iconic heritage sites. They were warmly welcomed by Ms Gina Tam, General Manager of the Central Market, who provided valuable insights during the visit.
Through the engaging management talk and site tour, the students examined the transformation of the Central Market into a vibrant leisure and tourism destination, discovering innovative strategies employed to revitalise this historic landmark while preserving its cultural significance.
