Congratulations to Chan Tsz-ching and Tsang Pui-ling, Chung Wing-cheung and Lam Mei-wai Maris, fresh graduates of PolyU HKCC’s Associate in Design (Environment and Interior Design), on winning two Merit Awards in the “Social Innovation Inventor — Design Competition 2023/24” organised by the World Green Organisation. The award presentation ceremony was held at the City Gallery in Central on 12 August 2024.
With the theme of “Smart Design on Optimising Land Resources”, the competition aimed at encouraging students to incorporate green elements into architectural designs and greenify the Northern Metropolis. This can both maximise land usage and promote sustainable economic and social development while protecting the environment.
The winning entry of Tsz-ching and Pui-ling was “Green Shuttle”, while the winning entry of Wing-cheung and Mei-wai was “EcoCross Streets”.
This competition received an enthusiastic response, with a total of nearly 400 participants.
