Distinguished guests included Dr Jason Chan, MH, JP, Director of PolyU SPEED and Associate Dean (Information and Development) of PolyU CPCE; Dr Anthony Loh, Division Head of the Division of Science, Engineering and Health Studies of PolyU CPCE; Mr Chow Bing-kay, Assistant Commissioner/Urban of the Transport Department; and, representatives from the Transport Department's Training & Development Section.
In his speech, Mr Chow commended the programme for closely aligning with Hong Kong’s practical traffic engineering needs. He encouraged graduates to integrate theory with practice and contribute to the city’s transportation development.
Graduate representatives, Mr Chow Terence Kayin and Mr Lau Chi-Yung, shared their gratitude towards the lecturers for their dedicated guidance and PolyU SPEED for providing an excellent learning environment. Through the professional training in the programme, they gained essential knowledge and skills in traffic engineering, which they believe will greatly benefit their future careers.
The Certificate in Traffic Engineering is tailored for newly recruited Trainee Technical Officers (Traffic Engineering). Covering four major areas, it equips students with practical skills and professional knowledge. Building on the outstanding performance of the first cohort, the second intake has once again demonstrated the programme’s mission of integrating theory with practice.
