Hong Kong Community College (HKCC) and the School of Professional Education and Executive Development (SPEED), the educational units of the PolyU-affiliated College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE), held their 21st Joint Graduation Ceremony at PolyU’s Jockey Club Auditorium on 15 and 16 October 2023. PolyU HKCC and PolyU SPEED respectively sent forth over 3,300 sub-degree graduates and over 1,000 bachelor’s degree graduates.
PolyU HKCC Articulation Rate Reaches 90.2%, with a Record High of 71.2% Admitted to Government-funded Programmes
According to the PolyU HKCC Graduate Survey 2023 with a response rate of 85%, a total of 2,544 graduates articulated to bachelor’s degree programmes, representing a high articulation rate of 90.2%. Among the articulated graduates, a record high of 71.2% (1,812) were admitted to government-funded bachelor’s degree programmes. All these figures bear testimony to the fact that PolyU HKCC offers S6 graduates the best non-JUPAS pathway.
It is also worth mentioning that 67.7% of the articulated graduates were admitted to degree programmes offered by World’s Top 100 Universities in Hong Kong (according to QS World University Rankings 2024), namely, PolyU, HKU, CUHK, HKUST, and CityU.
From the first cohort of graduates in 2003 to the latest batch in 2023, over 39,200 PolyU HKCC graduates have articulated to bachelor’s degree studies. This represents a 21-year average articulation rate of 84.3%. (Click here for details of the PolyU HKCC Graduate Survey 2023.)
PolyU CPCE’s “2+2” Articulation Pathway Helps Graduates Obtain a Degree Awarded by PolyU
PolyU CPCE offers a flexible “2+2” articulation pathway to PolyU HKCC graduates who, after successfully completing their 2-year sub-degree study, can articulate to the 2-year honours degree programmes of PolyU SPEED. As usual, quite a few PolyU HKCC graduates in 2023 chose to pursue their degree studies at PolyU SPEED so as to earn a degree awarded by PolyU.
