The School of Professional Education and Executive Development (SPEED) and Hong Kong Community College (HKCC), the educational units of the PolyU-affiliated College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE), held their 23rd Joint Graduation Ceremony at PolyU's Jockey Club Auditorium on 25 and 26 October 2025. This year, PolyU HKCC and PolyU SPEED together conferred awards on over 4,500 sub-degree and bachelor's degree graduates.
The Graduation Ceremony was officiated by Prof. Peter Yuen, Dean of PolyU CPCE.
Dr Jason Chan, MH, JP, Director of PolyU SPEED and Associate Dean (Information and Development) of PolyU CPCE, remarked, “2025 marks a year of continued growth for PolyU SPEED. We are proud to see our students thrive and contribute to society with the knowledge and skills they’ve acquired.”
Dr Anthony Loh, Director of PolyU HKCC and Division Head of the Division of Science, Engineering, and Health Studies of PolyU CPCE, expressed pride in the graduates’ articulation performance. He said, “PolyU HKCC has helped nearly 45,000 graduates articulate to degree programmes over the years. The consistent success of our graduates reflects the quality of our programmes, the dedication of our teaching team, and our commitment to providing a vibrant and supportive learning environment.”
PolyU HKCC 2025 Articulation Rate Reaches 90.4%, Exceeding 90% for 6 Consecutive Years
According to the PolyU HKCC Graduate Survey 2025, with a response rate of 80.1%, a total of 2,577 graduates articulated to bachelor's degree programmes, achieving an articulation rate of 90.4%. Among them:
- 64.2% (1,654) were admitted to government-funded bachelor's degree programmes
- 53.2% (1,370) were admitted to UGC Senior Year Places
- 78.9% (2,034) were admitted to degree programmes leading to awards of the 8 UGC-funded universities (including self-financed programmes)
- 68.3% (1,760) were admitted to degree programmes leading to awards of the world’s top 100 universities (including self-financed programmes)
These figures reaffirm PolyU HKCC’s position as one of the best non-JUPAS pathways for S6 graduates.
PolyU CPCE's "2+2" Articulation Pathway Continues to Empower Students
PolyU CPCE offers a flexible "2+2" articulation pathway, enabling PolyU HKCC graduates to pursue undergraduate top-up degree programmes at PolyU SPEED. As in previous years, many 2025 graduates chose to continue their studies at PolyU SPEED to earn a degree awarded by PolyU, one of the world’s top 100 universities.
PolyU SPEED Offers a Direct Pathway for S6 Graduates to Obtain a Degree Awarded by PolyU
Starting from the 2025/26 academic year, PolyU SPEED offers 4-year full-time undergraduate programmes for S6 graduates, providing a more direct and high-quality option for students to obtain a degree awarded by PolyU. This new pathway complements PolyU CPCE’s existing articulation model and further strengthens its commitment to broadening access to professional higher education.
