Mr Noble Lo, Lecturer at the Division of Languages and Communication of PolyU CPCE, was invited to speak at the 11th International Conference on Distance Education and Learning, held from 12–15 June 2026 in Hangzhou, China.
Mr Lo’s lecture “Fostering Student Engagement in Hybrid and Distance Learning: A Multimodal and Technology-Enhanced Perspective” showcased his latest research on AI-facilitated assessment, multimodal engagement, and the nonlinear effects of prior proficiency and affective factors on student performance in hybrid and distance learning environments.
In addition, Mr Lo chaired the Poster Session on “AI and Digital Technology-Empowered Interdisciplinary Teaching Innovation in Higher Education”. He oversaw presentations, evaluated entries and selected the Best Presenter, ensuring rigorous academic standards and fostering scholarly exchange.
Through his dual roles as speaker and session chair, Mr Lo not only contributed to the advancement of technology-enhanced education but also strengthened the College’s international presence in AI-enhanced learning and digital pedagogy.
