PolyU CPCE was awarded the "Outstanding Green Application Award - Green Project (Education)" in the inaugural "ESG Green Development and Carbon Neutrality Awards 2023" organised by am730 and co-organised by the Institute of ESG & Benchmark and the Institute of Financial Technologists of Asia. PolyU CPCE is the only tertiary education institution to receive this award.
The award ceremony was held at the #HKCEC on 18 March 2024, with Mr Joseph Chan, JP, Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of the HKSAR government as the Guest of Honor. Dr Jason Chan, MH, JP, Associate Dean (Information and Development) and Dr Joseph Lau, Interim Head of Student Affairs of PolyU CPCE attended the ceremony, with Dr Chan representing the College to receive the award.
Each award was selected through a professional judging panel and the data sponsor Wizpresso's quantitative rating system, aiming to recognise organisations that have made outstanding achievements in the field of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) to promote green development and carbon neutrality projects in Hong Kong in response to the increasingly severe climate change.
