The signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Shangri-La Group (SLG) on 27 March 2024 marked a significant milestone in the partnership in Work- Integrated Education between PolyU CPCE and this esteemed hospitality giant. This occasion symbolised a shared commitment to collaboration, innovation, and the pursuit of excellence.
The MoU was signed by Prof. Peter Yuen, Dean of PolyU CPCE, and Ms Annie Chen, Assistant Vice President, Human Resources, Shangri-La Group.
This year, 41 degree and sub-degree business students from PolyU SPEED and PolyU HKCC respectively have successfully secured summer internships at eight SLG hotels across five mainland cities: Shenzhen, Shanghai, Qingdao, Beijing, and Dalian. This collaboration will provide students with more opportunities to work at various SLG hotels with centralised support from the headquarters. Through this partnership, we aim to offer exceptional educational experiences to our students and nurture promising talents for the hospitality industry.
