“SING Your Dreams” Singing Contest Draws to a Successful Close

On 10 October 2024, the “SING Your Dreams” Singing Contest, organised by the Student Affairs Office of PolyU CPCE (CSAO), was held at the PolyU West Kowloon Campus successfully. This contest aimed to provide students who are passionate about music with a platform to showcase their talents through compelling performances.

The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including Prof. Peter Yuen, Dean of PolyU CPCE; Dr Jason Chan, MH, JP, Associate Dean (Information and Development) and Director of PolyU SPEED; Prof. Ricky Chan, Associate Dean (Education); Dr Anthony Loh, Director of PolyU HKCC; Dr Helen Wong, Division Head of the Division of Business and Hospitality Management of PolyU CPCE; and Dr Esther Tong, Division Head of the Division of Languages and Communication of PolyU CPCE.

We were also honoured to have renowned singer Mr Phil Lam as our guest performer.

After a rigorous selection process by the professional judging panel, the winners were successfully selected for all award categories:

Champion: Cheuk Hei-man “錯的人” (PolyU SPEED BBA (Hons) in Human Resource Management, Year 1)
First runner-up and Best Articulation Award: Wan Sze-man “囍帖街” (PolyU SPEED Bachelor of Social Work (Honours), Year 2)
Second runner-up and Best Vocal Award: Li Wenjun “Lydia” (PolyU SPEED BBA (Hons) in Hospitality Management, Year 1)
Best Stage Presence Award: Chan Long-hin “其實” (PolyU HKCC Associate in Applied Social Sciences, Year 1)
Best Interpretation Award: Wong Hei-long Alfred “Rolling in the deep” (PolyU HKCC Associate of Science, Year 2)
Most Challenging Technique Award: Chan Heung-pang Dylan Knowles “Without You” (PolyU HKCC Associate in Translation and Interpretation, Year 1)
Most Creative Award: Law Ka-chun “嘉賓” (PolyU HKCC Associate in Business (Marketing), Year 1)

Congratulations to all the award-winning students! We also thank all the participating students and judges for their involvement, which made this contest a great success.
