On 14 March 2026, the PolyU CPCE Student Affairs Office, in collaboration with Tzu Chi Environmental Action Center and Dress Green, proudly presented the “Sustainable Fashion Styling & Catwalk Model Competition” at the Dragon Centre.
This year’s theme “Wedding” inspired fashion-loving and eco-conscious students to upcycle second‑hand clothing through styling techniques into unique, handmade wedding dresses. Contestants took on dual roles: stylists conceptualised and crafted the gowns, while models brought the designs to life on stage. The competition offered audiences not only a visual feast but also a powerful reminder of the hidden value in old clothing, fostering a culture of conservation and mindful consumption.
The ceremony was officiated by Dr Jason Chan, MH, JP, Director of PolyU SPEED and Associate Dean (Information and Development) of PolyU CPCE, who delivered the opening address. Dr Joseph Lau, Head of Student Affairs, along with distinguished industry leaders, served as judges for the competition.
