The Constitution and Basic Law Promotion Scheme Award Ceremony

The award ceremony and sharing session of theClarifying the Essentials, Affection for Our Home and Country: The Constitution and Basic Law Promotion Scheme” were held on 6 March 2025. Organised by PolyU SPEED and the Division of Languages and Communication of PolyU CPCE with funding from the Education Bureau, the Scheme aimed to raise awareness of the Constitution and the Basic Law across campus, as well as highlighting their relevance to daily life. Key initiatives of the Scheme included a series of workshops, an online quiz competition and a short video production contest. Since its launch last year, the project has attracted over 1,200 PolyU CPCE students and staff to participate.

During the ceremony, Dr Jason Chan, MH, JP, Director of PolyU SPEED, and Dr Esther Tong, Head of the Division of Languages and Communication, presented awards to the winners of the quiz and video production competitions, before the winning videos were showcased. The event celebrated the Scheme’s success in enhancing understanding of the laws while nurturing a sense of patriotism within the campus community.
