The Centre for Ageing and Healthcare Management Research (CAHMR) was first set up with a fund from the Research Grants Council of the University Grants Committee (Project No.: UGC/IDS24/18) on 1 December 2018 and was inaugurated on 14 January 2019. The funding period ended on 31 May 2022 and CAHMR continues to operate by internal funding from the College of Professional and Continuing Education of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
To respond to the challenges of ageing population, CAHMR aims to leverage the expertise and interests among faculty members, connecting them from a diverse array of disciplines and cultivating their scholarship in the realms of health care, health services management, finance, information technology, data science, public policy, marketing and hospitality management.
Specific deliverables include an efficient research infrastructure, regular network building conferences, impactful publications, relevant curriculum, and stakeholder dialogues, with the four fundamental objectives:
- To generating novel and useful knowledge;
- To develop research capabilities of faculty members;
- To share insights with stakeholders; and
- To inform curriculum development across related academic programmes.
Founding Members of CAHMR
The Centre for Ageing and Healthcare Management Research was set up on 1 December 2018 and the Inauguration was held on 14 January 2019.
