Student Computer Centre

The Student Computer Centre is set up in the WK campus for walk-in students. Students can access the full range of IT facilities and services through networked computers.

The scope of services covers:

  • General Computer Usage on Office Application and Internet Access
  • Black & White Bulk Laser Printing Service
  • Color Laser Printing Service
  • A3 and A4-sized Image and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) Scanning Service
  • Manual Stapling Service

Rules for Student Computer Centre Users

Logging into Computers on the STUDENT Domain
Select "STUDENT" in the option of [Log on to:], then provide your user name
(i.e. 26xxxxxxA/26xxxxxxS) and password. Click "OK" to logon.

Remarks: Students can log into computers on the STUDENT domain within Student Computer Centre, libraries, I.T. and language labs as well as public areas.

Typhoon and Black Rainstorm Arrangement

  1. The Student Computer Centre will not open if Typhoon No. 8 or Black Rainstorm signal is hoisted before the opening hour, or an announcement is made by the Hong Kong Observatory that it is likely to be hoisted within the next 2 hours, until the signal is lowered.
  2. The Student Computer Centre will close once it is announced that the No. 8 Signal is likely to be issued within two hours.
  3. The Student Computer Centre will remain open if Black Rainstorm signal is hoisted during opening hours.
  4. Arrangement on lowering of Typhoon No. 8 or Black Rainstorm signal:
During Term / Examination / Revision Period
Mon - FriOn or before 5:00pmThe Student Computer Centre will be re-opened and resume its services after 2 hours, earlier if possible, upon announcement on the lowering of Typhoon No. 8 or Black Rainstorm signal.
After 5:00pmThe Student Computer Centre will remain closed for the day.
SatOn or before 2:00pmThe Student Computer Centre will be re-opened and resume its services after 2 hours, earlier if possible, upon announcement on the lowering of Typhoon No. 8 or Black Rainstorm signal.
After 2:00pmThe Student Computer Centre will remain closed for the day.

During Term Break
Mon - FriOn or before 5:00pmThe Student Computer Centre will be re-opened and resume its services after 2 hours, earlier if possible, upon announcement on the lowering of Typhoon No. 8 or Black Rainstorm signal.
