Storage Media Security Tips
Storage Media (CD/DVD-ROM, USB thumb drives, External HDD/SSD)
Avoid use external storage media and files from an unknown source or origin unless these storage media and files have been scanned and cleaned for computer virus and malicious code. Password protection, data protection or encryption program e.g. Veracrypt should be used to protect the sensitive data.
Use a USB thumb drive with the read-only function to prevent viruses and malicious code from infecting the drive.
