The Metal and Wood Workshop, located on the 14/F of the PolyU Hung Hom Bay Campus, provides a range of tools and equipment including a laser cutting machine, a CNC machine, a bandsaw, a lathe, a press drill and a belt sander.
To ensure the health and safety of users and to prevent hazards in the Metal and Wood Workshop, the following measures have been taken:
- Good ventilation and spacious workstations;
- Students have to complete health and safety training and comply with the dress code before using the workshop; and
- Annual inspection by the Health, Safety & Environment Office of PolyU.
