Staging Arrangement

Graduates of SPEED Master's degree / Postgraduate Diploma / Bachelor’s degree programmes

Step 1:	A name card will be attached to the seat of each graduate at the venue. Check accuracy of your name. Take the name card from your seat with your mortarboard* and line up to the right stairs. Follow the instructions of duty staff to walk to the top step of the stairs.
Step 2:	Present your name card to the Presenting Officer. The Presenting Officer will then announce your name.
Step 3:	Start crossing the stage and bow to the Presiding Officer, Dean of College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE).
Step 4:	Move to the left side of the Rostrum to the Presiding Officer. Stand at the designated spot marked on the floor, and take a photo with the Presiding Officer.
Step 5:	Walk towards Director of SPEED, then shake hands and take a photo. Leave the stage by the stairs at the far end.
Step 6:	Return to your seat, remain seated, and put on the mortarboard with tassel on the left*.
Step 7:	After all the graduates of a programme are presented, spotlight will shed on the graduates at this time. Presiding Officer will congratulate the graduates. Spotlight fades out.

* Mortarboard is not applicable to graduates of Postgraduate Diploma.

Graduates of HKCC sub-degree programmes

Step 1:	A name card will be attached to the seat of each graduate at the venue. Check accuracy of your name. Take the name card from your seat and line up to the right stairs. Follow the instructions of duty staff to walk to the top step of the stairs.
Step 2:	Present your name card to the Presenting Officer. The Presenting Officer will then announce your name.
Step 3:	Start crossing the stage and bow to the Presiding Officer, Dean of College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE).
Step 4:	Move to the left side of the Rostrum to the Presiding Officer. Stand at the designated spot marked on the floor, and take a photo with the Presiding Officer.
Step 5:	Walk towards Director of HKCC, then shake hands and take a photo. Leave the stage by the stairs at the far end.
Step 6:	Return to your seat and remain seated.
Step 7:	After all the graduates of a programme are presented, spotlight will shed on the graduates at this time. Presiding Officer will congratulate the graduates. Spotlight fades out.

Remarks: Please note that by attending the graduation ceremony physically, you grant the College of Professional and Continuing Education of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University the right to use photographs or audio/video recordings taken of you during the event for all graduation-related activities, including sharing with external news media and vendors.
